Slendertone Day Two- Going up another level
Richard reported, ” I have just used the slendertone for the second time, I started at level 3 this time, unlike level 1 yesterday as it didn’t seem like a very big work out. I felt the difference immediately and did 30 minutes at 60, eventually increasing the power to 80 for the last 10 minutes.
My stomach feels like I have just done 100 situps. It feels really good like I have done a lot of exercise.”
Ashley reported, “Initial thoughts when opening the box were very impressive. Everything is boxed up nice and neatly, looks like Slendertone have taken care with the presentation. The belt needs charging for a few hours so bare that in mind. I was pleased to see a quick start guide, I was up and running with the pads stuck on within 5 minutes.
I immediately cranked up the to level 30 so I could feel the belt doing something. I have worn the belt for 2 days now and still on level 1 at a 45. My stomach isn’t aching yet but I’m sure by the end of the week I will be feeling it a little.
I intend to go running later this week so will be interesting how the belt says on whilst moving”
The Slendertone Trial Begins… Day one
Richard reported, “I started on program one and quickly had the power on 40. The default first program a 20 minute work out was very good and I felt like I was doing a lot of sit ups. I will be going to the next level tomorrow as I feel I could have done more time and more reps.”
Matt says, ” First impressions of the product was that the packaging made the product feel really classy. I didn’t realise that the pads need replacing after only 30 sessions, I only realised after I found the sales leaflet inside the outer-packing.
The first time I set it up I put the pads on the wrong way round, I’m never very good at reading instructions, I usually don’t bother and try and work it out out myself.
A few years ago I had tried a friends abs belt and I didn’t like the sensation, the belt seemed to jolt your entire stomach periodically which was not pleasant, this made me a bit hesitant about using the Slendertone abs system. After a few minutes using the Slendertone system I found the sensation was a sort of gradual vibrating feeling, It was a nice surprise and was definitely a nicer sensation than the abs belt I had used before. I started off with a lower number just to get used to it as I was a bit unsure, I gradually built it up to about 40 and did a 20 minute session, I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all afterwards. The next morning I thought I could see a difference already! Maybe its just wishful thinking, but I will definitely continue using it.
Rachael reported, “Well, Iast night was the first experience of my slendertone belt was strange but effective!
Before I started using the Slendertone belt I had already been progressing my abdominal muscle strength by following various abdominal workouts at the gym. I believe in using a variety of abdominal resistance work to progress my abdominal strength so that you are always testing the body, by forcing it to learn new movements and levels of resistance. I also believe in toning all of your abdominal muscles (inner and outer), so that you’re stabilizing muscles are utilized as well.
I started my work out on programme 2, level 28 on the right and left side of my stomach. I felt like my stomach muscles were being forced to contract, with my left side contracting more than my right! This I didn’t understand because I had both sides on the same level! I also found that I naturally felt like I had to stand up whilst I was using the belt, and if I sat down, my body naturally felt like it wanted to sit upright whilst I also wanted to hold my stomach strong using my inner core muscles. Afterwards I the skin on my stomach felt slightly sore, but I was enthusiastic to use it again on a higher level.”
I have to admit I was bit worried and slightly nervous about using this toning belt. I had never tried anything like this before and was not sure whether I’d enjoy the sensation. After watching everyone eagerly putting their Slendertone System-Abs, (which was incredibly amusing!), I plucked the courage and with a helping hand from my work buddy Ashley I switched it on.
I absolutely loved the sensation and could feel it was really working around my abdominal area. I had it on for twenty minutes on level 25 and there were no negative after effects (another of my worries). The toning belt was incredibly easy to use, completely comfortable. Slendertone also have a great instruction book with a diary/chart to keep to help track your performance, which is actually very handy.
After using it, I went off to the gym and I was thinking to myself, “If I can get a flat tummy and combine this with excersise, hopefully I’ll be fit and in shape by November for my holiday!” Anyway, I’ll keep you posted. I’m going to crank it up to the next level next time.
Does Electrical Muscle Stimulation technology work?
A team of us are going to be blogging weekly to keep us motivated and report our experiences on toning belt, Slendertone System-Abs. We’ve been given toning belts to trial and test, whether electrical muscle stimulation really does work? They claim with the System-Abs you’ll “get a firmer, flatter stomach in four weeks.”
How does it work?
The System-Abs uses clinically proven EMS technology to exercise all areas of the abdomen. A signal is sent to the abdominal, and as the signal strength increases this causes the muscle to contract. The great thing about this system we can use it absolutely anywhere you like, relaxing at home, watching TV, doing the cleaning or even at work.
Before we start, I’d just like to introduce myself and the rest of the team including our motivations and what we’d like to get out of the System-Abs.

I really want to get back into shape! Over the last six month I’ve started going to the gym twice a week and love aerobic exercise (particularly the step machine and running). Unfortunately the flat stomach I used to have is a distant memory. I basically want to have a firmer, flatter stomach and overall look and feel better in myself in my body shape. If you have any tips about the System-Abs and exercise, I’d welcome your thoughts and ideas.
And meet the rest of the team….

I’m a keen runner and I am interested to see if the Slendertone System works whilst I am doing exercise. I wouldn’t class myself as a ripped athlete but always keen to stay fit and work on the abs with minimal effort i.e stacks of sit ups.
If I can continue to run long distance and develop my abs at the same time with the belt then it’s a winner! I usually run about 6k twice a week and local football on a Sunday. Slendertone me up!

I am in pretty good shape but have a little bit of a tummy, it’s the only area left to tone and am struggling to target this area, I cycle quite a lot which is good for all arms legs and bum but not so good for tummy.
I am hoping that a Slendertone will target this area.

I am really looking forward to doing this trial. I am a relatively fit person, and have knowledge of health and fitness within the gym as I use to train people. I thought this would be a good experience for me as I have always been against gadgets that are suppose to make you slim and trim without the hard work, so this should be interesting.
Also, I know that you’re abdominal muscles are the hardest ones to train, especially for females because we naturally carry more fat mass as apposed to lean muscle! Can’t wait, bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m reasonably fit but want to tone my stomach. I don’t have much fat on my stomach but haven’t got much definition either. I’m really looking forward to trying out the system abs. I find it very difficult to find time to exercise being an office worker and living 45 mins from my home, also with my type of occupation you find that you really need to do overtime this leaves even less time to do a workout.
I also find that it’s very hard to have the willpower to take that initial step and to get motivated to exercise. Even though you are sat in an office all-day you can still be very tired and the tiredness is mental rather than physical. I’m hoping that the system abs will not only tone up my abs but give me an incentive to start doing some more exercise.
Overall I hope that I generally feel better about myself and feel less tired in the evenings. No more excuses!

And so the trial begins…..
