Week 1: Slendertone System Mini – First Look for Vicki
The packaging for the Slendertone Mini was very good. I like all the art work on the box, the product looks high quality and not tacky. When unpacking the Slendertone Mini I was supprise at the size of the skirt. The skirt is a wrap around and there was a lot of fabric. Setting up the Slendertone Mini was very straight forward, I tend to read all set up instructions on most items so I was not confused by the guides. The gel pads are very easy to get in the right place and once the control was charged up I was ready to go.
Having used the Slendertone System belt before I was aware of the variations in power the products could give out. As this product focuses on a different area I was a bit dubious what level I could initially start on.
Once I was up and running it felt very strange at first, I could feel my muscles tense once I moved up to level 35. I started walking around the house and could feel the Slendertone Mini working even more. After the next 5 minutes I decided to sit down and watch TV, I personally felt the product works better standing and using the muscles naturally – i.e walking round the house doing various jobs, i.e cooking.
The first go on the Slendertone Mini didn’t leave me aching but I am sure once I use it more it will have more of an impact.
Vicki tries the Slendertone System Mini to help tone her bottom
Vickie will be blogging her experiences with the System Mini over the next few weeks. Here’s a bit more information about Vickie and her motivations for using the System Mini.
So tell us a bit about yourself?
I am 22 years old and work in a local pharmacy despensing drugs. My diet is relatively healthy and I am quite an active person but feel I do not exercise regulalry enough. I enjoy socialising with my friends and enjoy a glass of red wine.
What is your home and work balance lifestyle like?
Home generally consists of watching the TV/DVD’s mid-week in the evenings, I hope this will be the best opportunity to wear the system mini. I take it in turns cooking dinner each night with my partner so I hope I can use the mini then too. Work is Monday to Friday, 9 till 5 so I doubt I can use the Slendertone during work hours. Weekends usually involve catching up with friends and out of the house. Sundays are usually my day of rest so the Slendertone may be used then too!
Do you have any fitness regime in place at the moment?
Not really. I attend a fitness class at my local leisure centre, it is a step areobics class and often very busy. I usually feel quite happy I have attended the class but after a busy day at work it can be hard to muster the energy. I sometimes go running with my partner, a gentle jog which is quite enjoyable. I try to either attend the fitness class once a week.
What are your key motivations for using system-mini?
After using the Slendertone System I was pleased with the results so I wanted to test the system-mini as it is one area of my body I find hard to tone. The system-mini looks and feels different to the rest of the Slendertone range, as a skirt I am eager to see how it works.
What would you like to get out of the system mini?
A firmer bottom. Some of the exercises at my fitness class focus on this area, I am keen to see the results by using a Slendertone System Mini without painful exercise routines.
Will you be exercising or eating more healthily over the eight week trial?
Yes. My diet is generally very healthy but I will be making an effort not to eat too many treats whilst on the eight week trial.
Do you have other areas you would like to tone?
No, not at the moment.
Do you have any other interesting facts about yourself?
Nothing too exciting I’m affraid. I use too run for my county when I was back at school, apart from that I would just like to look and keep fit.
A world of Slendertone- For bums, arms and tums
I was browsing the Internet yesterday and I was just having a look at what people have said on-line about getting fit and into shape and using toning belts as part of their everyday life. I’ve read mixed reviews and most have them have been actually been really positive.
I was amazed to find, whilst looking at the offical Slendertone Product range, how much they cater for all people, men and woman, with all different shapes and most sizes to help create that desired beautiful body and make our dream come true (with hardwork, time and patience).
I had a look at their range as well and they offer toning for all those problem areas for men and woman. I’ve only ever used the System Abs and I did see the effects after eight weeks. I plan to use it more after my holiday away as I have a wedding, Christmas Party and New Year city break to look forward to. I may not have the flat tummy like in the model shots but it does flatten and make my tummy curvier and more shapely. I’ll also be exercising three time a week.
My partner is also quite keen on investing in a Slendertone Active for men. Slendertone say with Slendertone Active, the aim is to “combine regular exercise such as walking with the personalised Slendertone Active programme and get fit, burn fat and improve your abdominal strength. If you find it hard to get motivated or don’t see enough results for your exercise effort then this is for you.” You can also download a free training diary to help monitor and log your progress, which i think was quite useful. Have any of you used this?
There are a few other products I’d like to try to help my bingo wings and pert that bottom, but when I get back I’ll get back into System Abs before I start investing in any other products. Have any of you tried any other Slendertone products? How have you found using them?
