Salsa Chick’s progress with the Slendertone Flex Max
Well another week has flown by and my Slendertone Flex Max has had the least use yet… tut, tut.
We were off for the weekend, so eager to get my toning in I popped the toning belt on to use whilst on the car journey. Unfortunately the battery slowly died on that session which negated the use, so that meant I missed 2 days of using the belt. Having said that I was impressed with how long the first set of batteries lasted, and they provide you with a second set too.
Then hayfever kicked in and I felt too lousy to use it the next day. But last night I was back on track; although I had a Salsa dancing class to teach straight after work I managed to put the belt on for the car journey home. I’m on programme 5, intensity up to 107 and feeling the crunch – lovely. Still not sure it’s working but I am a bit trimmer despite my weight being higher than I’d like.

Is Slendertone a scam?
Is Slendertone a scam?
I was reading some of the reviews on Slendertone today and some of them claim it’s a scam. Some of them say “Slendertone is a waste of your money!,” some say “don’t bother getting a toning belt, exercise will give you that flat tummy.”
Most of us in this blog have trialed Slendertone belts on our arms, bums and tums and we all have had different experiences. Reflecting on those who have trialed the toning belt, it certainly is not the miracle cure to get super slim, however it does contribute to body toning. It’s also a convenient toning belt which can be used almost anywhere and everywhere.
You need to complement the use of the Slendertone by also working out. As long as you are regularly burning off more calories than you are consuming then the results are very good and your abs do become solid. It’s hard work and dedication is required!
What do you think of Slendertone? Is it a scam? Share your experiences with us.
Karate Kid max’s up with Slendertone
Still using the Slendertone belt on a regular basis and now on the max power setting 99. I am swapping
around on the programmes as number 7 gives a 40 minute work out whereas the others are 30 minutes but the patterns and rhythms change. The battery has lasted well and only just had to recharge it again. Although I thought the pads were wearing they are still okay for now.
I can feel and see a difference and the muscles feel stronger and tighter. I have also just started the “plank” – I have heard of this before but was listening to Chris Evans, good music and chat to drive home to, and he had a guest who said this was the best exercise for abs. so doing that now as well. Only a few more weeks to some sunshine in the Red Sea, weather here is really naff and quite depressing but good for my very green grass.

More later, the Slendertone testers
And here is the Slendetone male ad…
I think the brand new Slendertone ads reflect how us men or woman have very busy lifestyles, and how convenient this toning belt really is. The great thing about Slendertone as we have seen we most of our testers is the flexibility of using it everywhere and anywhere. Great ad!
Brand new Slendertone TV Ad- Ladies first!
I’m not sure if any of you have seen the launch of the brand new Slendertone website and TV ad. Here is the ladies one! I’m sure us ladies can all relate to this ad!
Letting myself go!
I hadn’t used the toning belt in over a week – I’ve been away a couple of days here and there, had my period
– it says not to use the belt so thought i’d stick to the advice, and I’ve been too tired/ill. I’ve found it really hard to use the belt when I’m overtired, everything seems to painful and too long and I somehow turn into a complaining child! It wasn’t a pretty sight, my poor flatmate!!
However, I’ve started going to the gym (2-4 times a week depending if i’m here) so that’s good progress and I’m going to start the old belt discipline again. I was using the belt 7 days a week, programme 4, on intensity 75 and now I’ve gone back down to intensity 60! A bit disappointed, but it really hurt! so that must show the belt was doing something!
I can definitely relate to Salsa Chick, you have a hectic day, then suddenly realise it’s way past when you wanted to go to bed and you still haven’t used the belt – I ended up lying on my bedroom floor doing some work on my laptop with the belt on past midnight! not really how I wanted it to go.
So, for the week ahead – discipline! once you’re in the routine, putting the belt on becomes habit, i’ve just broken it this last week, so need to reform a good one!
Pippa
