Kate’s first week using the Slendertone Abs

Week One
The motivation for trialling the Slendertone System-Abs was the attempt to eliminate or at minimum reduce my modest but ever-present muffintop. My starting approach was that the Slendertone System-Abs would be to exercise what vitamins are to a healthy diet – a useful supplement to keep you tiptop. Of course, I think my passion for chocolate and all things sugary has as much to do with my round belly as anything so should probably address that issue at the same time!

In my first week I only used the belt 3 times for which I blame being laid up with flu. I did entertain the idea of remotely exercising whilst laying prone with fever on my bed but eventually concluded that it wouldn’t technically be restful!

Setting up the belt, was really easy using the quick start instructions. I left the battery on charge overnight by accident but it doesn’t seem to have done any damage.
My first session was 20 minutes at 25 dubries and the second was 20 mins on 30. I didn’t feel any discomfort though by the end of the first session did feel I had had enough of the weird sensation of being poked in the tummy. You do get used to it though and haven’t had that compulsion since. For my third session I upped the minutes to 30 on 30 dubries. In the last 7 minutes I felt a little tightening in my left abs and so reduced the power quite a bit as a warm down.

It’s fair to say that by the end of week one I could feel my stomach muscles getting firmer and I’d learnt that I could manually adjust the controls to suit how my muscles were reacting to the belt.
