Anna’s fourth week using Slendertone Abs
Increasing the level of intensity over 60 is now a pretty scary thought but I think what I’ll do this week is start off at low 60’s and then after about 5/10 minutes increase this to the desired intensity (65-70) once my body starts getting used to the intense contractions.
I will also aim to increase the length of wear to 40 minutes this week and try out the different programmes on the monitor to get more out of the belt. I need to try and lose the small bulge on my lower stomach, so will try make extra time for crunches on the swiss ball and fit in more cardio, fingers crossed I’ll be a natural at badminton since I’ve not played since school! I am going to plan my snacks, lunches and dinners this week being back at work so that I don’t end up eating junk.
Suzanne’s second week using Slendertone Abs
Second week session is going well. On Monday started on 60/60 for an hour. Felt abit of sensation on the legs, paused the session and readjusted the belt.
Second day increased it to 65/65, again for an hour.
Third day rested.
Fourth day increased to 70/70. No problems except at the beginning feeling the intensity is slightly strong but bearable.
Fifth day I decided to stay on same intensity .
Saturday is always a busy day and decided to give it a rest.
Michelle’s first week using Slendertone Abs
I have completed my first week of the slendertone trial, i have found it very good for working my stomach muscles evenly and have noticed a little difference in the last couple of days. My stomach feels tighter already. The slendertone is very easy to use and it can be worn out walking, which i did on a few occassions over the past week.
Nicks first week using Slendertone Abs
1st time trying the belt was a really odd feeling, the pads were a little bit cold and not totally un-slimey(!) but once I’d started, it was actually quite enjoyable.
The belt starts off very low – it really only feels like a little tickle, and without realising the level to which I could turn it up to on the first try, I was a little bit sceptical about how effective it could be.
However when I started hitting 40% it really started to kick in… It really does feel like a good abs work out and after a week I’m up to 80% which gives you a really strong crunch. I think I’ve started noticing a difference to my posture and I also feel like my abs feel tighter. I’m going to the gym regularly to try to decrease my body fat – there’s no point working the abs if they are hidden under layers of lard.
Rob’s third week using Slendertone Abs
Week 3
The Slendertone seems to be helping my posture and making in-roads on the six pack (although I’m aware that with a body fat percentage in the low 20′s I’m not likely to see a six pack without changing other aspects of my diet and fitness program). I’ve been using the belt on the early programs and at pretty high intensity levels, so feeling pretty smug about that I started on the 6th program expecting it to be a walk in the park. Wrong! This program changes the timings of the pulses and is far harder. I can see this and the higher programs are going to keep me working for sometime to come.
Martine’s third week using Slendertone Abs
The third week in my 6 week plan has passed and I’m feeling good.
I’m very happy because I feel my trousers are sitting more comfortable.
I use the Slendertone belt five times a week with two days rest.
Each session is thirty minutes and I managed to go up to level 70 or 75.
Sometimes I feel a very hard sensation, but no pain.
It’s a graet experience for me to have finally found some type of exercising I can
do with my illness.
I’m looking forward to using the belt again next week.
Emily’s third week using Slendertone abs
I cannot believe I am writing my 3rd blog, the weeks fly away when you monitor them.
This last week has been alot easier as I have gotten into the habit of using the belt when I know I have 30 minutes to kill, generally it is watching Grey’s Anatomy or Americas Next Top Model. I stick it on while watching my TV shows and relax with it. I manage to be able to turn it up at a faster rate when lying down as I focus on the belt during adverts etc rather than forgetting it’s on. I ache slightly in the morning after use now which is a nice feeling. I did see a difference but after the last weekend of binge eating and party nights I think all the good work is hidden by my food baby! Hopefully I will see the results again this week after my salads! The sides is where I am noticing the difference as I don’t often work on these parts!
Cathy’s first week using Slendertone Abs
When I received the slendertone belt I wasn’t entirely convinced at first because I’m not a huge fan of electrocution (reminded me slightly of the TENS machine I used in labour, which was not the best memory…). However, having tried it I have to say I am finding the sensation more enjoyable than I thought I would – it doesn’t hurt at all, and it’s very controllable and it’s quite nice to think that it may be helping me tone up my flabby abs whilst not really expending any effort at all. I particularly like the fact that you can use it anytime – I started off using it whilst watching TV on the sofa, and have graduated to using it last thing at night when I’m reading my book in bed…so very flexible! I also like the fact that you can enjoy a glass of wine at the same time (though I’m not sure that is recommended as part of the healthy diet plan so wouldn’t recommend doing this every time you use it!).
I’m trying to increase the intensity each time I use it – am only up to about 25 at the minute as I am a bit of a wuss but I think you get used to the sensation more and more each time you use it, and it’s nice to think that it’s doing some good. I haven’t yet had the aching feeling the next day so probably need to turn it up another notch (it’s probably struggling to penetrate through my flabby belly to the actual muscle beyond at the moment…good luck to it!!).
So, early days yet, but I’m definitely going to carry on using it this week and increase the intensity more to see if I can start to see a difference.
Mark’s second week using Slendertone Abs
Just finished week 2 and all seems to be going well, think it is helping trim the old waistline away, think I might be putting a claim in for clothes alterations. Using the machine about 2 times aday and find it no problem, on the way in and out of work, I find it the easiest way to keep track. I found the level wasn’t hard enough so I decided to go to level 4 and work from there, up to 80 / 85 on the intensity and finding a decent workout, but not overly killing me. I’ve had a few issues with trying to get the position of the unit right in the last couple of days, but I’ve found to put it low on my stomach and then move the side panels up, it works will, might have to move the inner pads in a bit. Finding the muscles are getting stronger and can knock out a fair few reps when I’m training well.
Aiming to up the level to 90 this week and see how it goes.
Simon’s third week using Slendertone Abs
Week 3
Week three was the toughest yet. I struggled to find motivation despite the calendar reminders that I had set for myself. I think this was partly due to the pain and discomfort that the Slendertone is now causing me on the higher levels. Despite this I have managed to stick to the regime and have now reached level 75. I find this very uncomfortable and borderline painful. However after a couple of sessions at this level it is now slightly more bearable. The battery problem seems to be persisting and the unit is requiring more frequent charging, although I am happy that my unit is still functioning, my partners unit has packed up completely after only 3 weeks use.
