David’s first week using Slendertone Abs

I approached the Slendertone very tentatively as I have a fear of anything electrical and have even stopped frequenting certain department stores where static shocks are encountered at the till owing to their carpets.

After having the cursory flick through the instruction booklet, the ‘quick start’ leaflet dropped out to and I started charging the battery. I was a bit worried about getting the pads wrong and short circuiting ending up a frazzled wreck on the floor.

I made sure the power was at the lowest setting and grimaced in anticipation of an electric shock, I felt a slight tingle on one side. I thought I’d got it wrong and hadn’t anticipated that the current would provide a ‘pulse’ on the muscles to enable them to expand and contract, I know this is in the instructions but I’m a bloke and we tend to read the full info later on, if at all.

Gradually I increased the power up on both sides and actually started to like the expand/contract motion. Standing up felt the best position so I kept going and walked around a bit for 10 mins or so quite pleased with myself. I didn’t want to overdo it so left it at that.

The next day
I was somewhat sceptical after having done crunches and sit ups ad nauseum at the gym over the years but I was surprised the next day at a feeling around my abs. I was sore, but in a ‘post exercise way’ which is perversely pleasant and reminds you that you’ve done some good work.

to be continued…………….

Katie’s first week of using Slendertone Abs

I am always very sceptical about “claims ” made for particular products so I was pleased to be able to try out the Slendertone without cost to myself. The belt is easy to assemble, the batteries charge quite quickly and the booklet covers every thing I needed to know.

The pads are quite cold when first put against the skin but this is like the first dip into a swimming pool and the pads soon warm up. The sensation of the belt working are like contractions with a slight pins /needles feeling but I do not find that unpleasant or painful. I have found the best time to use it is either while I am cooking the evening meal, or while watching TV later in the day.

After 10 days I can honesty say that I have noticed a difference in my stomach. It is flatter than before and this is particularly noticeable first thing in the morning when I am dressing for work. My skirts and trousers certainly fit better. All I need now is a quick way of losing 1 stone in weight and I am set for the summer !

Simon’s fourth week using Slendertone Abs

Week 4 was the toughest yet. This week I have reached level 80 on the Slendertone. This is plain torture! I thought that the gradual build up would have prepared me for this, but nothing could have prepared me for level 80! I was doubled up in pain, I can’t comprehend how anyone or why anyone would want to use one of these at this level. I managed to endure it for a short period, and then reverted to level 70 for subsequent sessions. This is my final blog entry after 1 months use. As for the effects of Slendertone use and “does it work”? I would have to say that in this limited amount of time I have felt slight changes. I guess my abs are slightly stronger than they were 4 weeks ago. Has it reduced my gut? I would have to say no. I think the only solution for that is more exercise and fewer beers! There is no quick fix for this. As a compliment to exercise the slender tone could do as it says on the box and tone the abs, but it isn’t a quick fix for those who can’t be bothered to exercise. It doesn’t need to intrude on everyday life. I have been using it whilst working at my desk, cooking, ironing and doing many other daily activities. So in conclusion, would I recommend this to someone, do toning belts work? I would have to say sometimes and for the right sort of people. I wouldn’t recommend to my friends, but could see it working for the right sort of person. Will I continue to use it now the 4 week trial is over…probably…I’ll program the reminders into my diary soon…

Kerry’s fourth week using Slendertone Abs

In my fourth week I increased the intensity to 60:60 so that I can really feel it working. For the first couple of minutes the sensation always feels a little uncomfortable but I soon get used to it. Now that it has been 4 weeks since I started using the Slendertone Abs belt and I can honestly say that I can see a difference. My tummy is definitely firmer and looks more defined. Although I have to say that it hasn’t transformed my stomach as much as I was hoping for but I’m happy with the results and will continue to use it as I think can achieve even better results if I keep going. It is so so easy to use, I don’t dread doing it as I can just watch TV at the same time and it doesn’t require any effort on my part. Give me Slendertone over 100 sit ups any day!

Eddie’s second week using Slendertone Abs

After a week of using slendertone on a fairly low setting, I decided to try and turn it up as per the guides recommendations. I found that this was a little uncomfortable for the first few minutes but after that was fine, and I think it was more beneficial as I could feel the effects of it afterward on my muscles. I’ve found the unit to be pretty handy in that it’s portable enough to use in the car etc, but I still forget to use it some days. Still pleased with it though and will continue with it.

Niamh’s second week using Slendertone Abs

Week 2 – Started to increase the input and changed programme on System-Abs, using everyday now for 20mins. This is great how easy it is to use no need to be plugged in so can use in the car driving to work or around the house. Starting to notice a difference on the sides of my stomach

Without the need for numerous torso twists, getting used to fitting the System- Abs into my daily routine
