David’s first week using Slendertone Abs

I approached the Slendertone very tentatively as I have a fear of anything electrical and have even stopped frequenting certain department stores where static shocks are encountered at the till owing to their carpets.

After having the cursory flick through the instruction booklet, the ‘quick start’ leaflet dropped out to and I started charging the battery. I was a bit worried about getting the pads wrong and short circuiting ending up a frazzled wreck on the floor.

I made sure the power was at the lowest setting and grimaced in anticipation of an electric shock, I felt a slight tingle on one side. I thought I’d got it wrong and hadn’t anticipated that the current would provide a ‘pulse’ on the muscles to enable them to expand and contract, I know this is in the instructions but I’m a bloke and we tend to read the full info later on, if at all.

Gradually I increased the power up on both sides and actually started to like the expand/contract motion. Standing up felt the best position so I kept going and walked around a bit for 10 mins or so quite pleased with myself. I didn’t want to overdo it so left it at that.

The next day
I was somewhat sceptical after having done crunches and sit ups ad nauseum at the gym over the years but I was surprised the next day at a feeling around my abs. I was sore, but in a ‘post exercise way’ which is perversely pleasant and reminds you that you’ve done some good work.

to be continued…………….
