Anne’s first week using Slendertone Abs

Well, an exciting week!
Slendertone arrived Tuesday night, excitedly unpacked it all then realised that it looked much more complex than I realised. And more scientific. Bit intimidated and having had a few drinks at the pub before arriving home, decide to wait till Wednesday to start.
Day 1: Wednesday, and I need to do this. Reluctantly decide that I need to read the manual which looks huge. Luckily the quick start guide is enough and I can put it all together, and charge it up and off I go! First thought: YUCK! Gel pads are quite vile. But then it starts off…what a funny sensation! More ticklish than anything else…can this really be doing anything? Consult the big manual and it says it will so carry on.
Day 2 Pop it on and decide to crank it up…quite handy that you can move around if you need to …definitely feeling it more on a higher level so end up quite pleased.
Day 3 Gel pads…YUCK! Did I say this before? Gel pads cold and very grim. Decide to make a big move and go to programme 3..wow! what a difference. Make it to a much higher level and longer duration. Cooking on gas.
Day 4. Re-consult manual. Had thought that you needed to use it 5 days then rest 2 but see now that should have rested in between. Oops! Go for a rest day.
Day 5. Rest day
Day 6. Right, off we go again. Yikes! Programme 3 on a slightly higher setting feels really strong now. Still, easy to hang in there. Amazing how you feel your muscles contracting! Am quite convinced that this going to work.
Day 7. Stick with the same level as yesterday, feels quite powerful. Went to the gym today as well so feel very virtuous.
On to week 2!

Mark’s first week using Slendertone

I did have an old model Slendertone and the new model is much easier to use, from operation and charging. Less hassle means I will end up using it more, well I hope so any way. The set up was easy, a couple of issues easily sorted out through the manual though.

I have been training heavily since January to get fit from a couple of various injuries I had, so maybe would have got different results, but since January have lost about 5kgs in weight and dropped a couple of waist sizes. Now I train about 4 times a week in the evenings, 2 bootcamp training and twice in the gym from spinning to swimming to circuits and also am active over the weekend, refereeing mostly, so hopefully the slendertone will be able to give me a firm stomach area. I understand about my body fat content and I hope with the training and the slendertone that I will be able to see results over the 4 weeks and maybe even a bit of a six pack, we will have to wait and see. I use the machine, twice a day, I know its over the recommendations, but I feel that 1 session isn’t enough and I need more, I’m up to program 3 and about 70 on the intensity.
