Karate Kid max’s up with Slendertone
Still using the Slendertone belt on a regular basis and now on the max power setting 99. I am swapping
around on the programmes as number 7 gives a 40 minute work out whereas the others are 30 minutes but the patterns and rhythms change. The battery has lasted well and only just had to recharge it again. Although I thought the pads were wearing they are still okay for now.
I can feel and see a difference and the muscles feel stronger and tighter. I have also just started the “plank” – I have heard of this before but was listening to Chris Evans, good music and chat to drive home to, and he had a guest who said this was the best exercise for abs. so doing that now as well. Only a few more weeks to some sunshine in the Red Sea, weather here is really naff and quite depressing but good for my very green grass.
Karate Kids can feel the difference with Slendertone
I can see and feel a difference now, the muscles are tighter and stronger although perhaps not as visible. I
am still using the Slendertone belt and changing around the programmes and upping the level to almost the max. I am still amazed at the reaction each time the “wave” of contraction approaches and how the muscle react. I guess it does get a little addictive to experience the reaction.
I did see, briefly, the new advert on the televison the other day for Slendertone. The karate is going well and Kyusho training, having a stronger abdomen is good to fend off some of the attacks although strong muscles are not always an advantage as they can make some of the techniques more painful. The mind is a powerful tool where visualisation, colours, sounds, yin and yang, time of the day, and stances can all make a big difference to a particular technique. Only a few more weeks to our holiday in the sun and swimming /snorkeling in the Red Sea.

Karate Kid’s Slendertone System Abs Progress
A week has gone past already and 5 sessions completed on the Slendertone system-abs. The Slendertone
system is easy to use and no problem allowing you to continue any normal chores or sit in front of the telly. I have noticed the contractions appear more intense whilst sitting down rather than standing.
I thought I may have overdone things too soon as I was unwell on Saturday with a light head and stomach pains but I now believe this was a 24-hour bug and not the machine. I started back on the programme so I only had the two rest days as planned. I haven’t noticed any real difference so far but have stepped up to programme 6 that gives a longer and different workout that I have so far found better and more comfortable. The battery lasted for 6 sessions before recharging was required. I am still trying to increase the intensity but haven’t ventured over 50 as yet as the contractions are very strong and causes a little back-ache. I am guessing here that if you already have stronger muscles that the contractions will be stronger and if you have weaker muscles the user will require a higher input to get the same results. Does anyone know if this is the case?
Not sure how long the Slendertone pads might last for as they are very sticky and I have to be careful when peeling them off my skin after a session.
No pain no gain, here’s to the six pack!

Welcome entry: Karate Kid tries out Slendertone System Abs
I am more than 25 and less than 50 but still only 21. I try to keep fit and well by playing 5-a-side football, salsa dancing and now back in to my karate. Also at home I have a total gym and a cross trainer and at the weekend we try not to use the car where possible and walk. Keeping fit and trim as you get older is difficult, I like my food and beer but trying to cut back to help.
I have seen these devices advertised many times and always wondered if they would work and be better than working out and getting hot. So now is may chance to see.
We should see results in 4 weeks, we are off on holiday in ten weeks so should be looking good on the beach.
I received my Slendertone System today and initially thought it was more than an abs toner and that there would be other attachments for other areas. The instructions are quite clear but it might be worth considering marking the connections so it is easier to ensure which way up they should be connected. Also the clip is a little fiddly.
The battery is now fully charged so I will start the programme tomorrow. Another point are the different programmes to choose from and what to select, I consider my self fit and with strong stomach muscles so would perhaps go for the upper programmes but should you start at the bottom and work up? Also maybe the programmes should say how they equate to a work out ie programme 1 equivalent to doing 100 sit-ups.
We shall see, no karate tonight as my instructor has gone to America to train, any one else interested in martial arts.
