I threw on the belt for the first time on Christmas Day. I had planned to lose weight in 2009, but thought I’d get some toning in ahead of the New Year. So there I was finishing off a Toblerone, wondering whether the new contraption strapped around my gut would either electrocute or tone me – the following day it felt like the latter – Slendertone 1, me 0.

I’m following the suggested plan, and currently using the belt as I write. Only downside thus far are the cold contact pads on initial use – I’m such a sensitive soul.

I’ll report back soon.
