Karate kids gets back into Slendertoning

I was using the belt religiously up to the time we went on holiday and then stopped.

I had thought about taking the belt with me but decided not to.

I am pleased with the results achieved and have tried to get back in to the routine to start using again. I have done so on a couple of occasions. I am still using the original pads so that is good and it is still easy to use once you remember.

I haven’t had any problems, the battery lasts well and doesn’t take long to charge up. Although I have used it for some time the routines still take you by surprise as your muscles contract which is quite amusing if you are walking around or doing other things such as typing on the key board!

Pippa’s progress with the Slendertone

i’ve not used the belt again for quite a while! I went away to Scotland and my pads completely lost their stickiness. It’s amazing what a difference they actually make, as it was really painful to use the belt, i had to turn it off after 11 minutes of the programme! Annoyingly, being in the middle of nowhere, there were no shops that sold the replacement pads, so another week went by without using the belt!

I am REALLY disappointed by how expensive the pads are! £12.99! Considering how much the belt costs and you would have to by the programmer separately etc (which works out at over £120), to charge that price for 3 bits of sticky rubber, it seems a complete waste of money to use the belt. you would have to have a serious issue against going to the gym or doing your own sit-ups for the length of time it takes to see any effects from the belt itself. how negative of me! but maybe just being realistic for the average Jo!

I will however continue to use the belt – curiosity in Slendertone’s claims pull more than my arguments against it!

Karate Kid max’s up with Slendertone

Still using the Slendertone belt on a regular basis and now on the max power setting 99. I am swapping around on the programmes as number 7 gives a 40 minute work out whereas the others are 30 minutes but the patterns and rhythms change. The battery has lasted well and only just had to recharge it again. Although I thought the pads were wearing they are still okay for now.

I can feel and see a difference and the muscles feel stronger and tighter. I have also just started the “plank” – I have heard of this before but was listening to Chris Evans, good music and chat to drive home to, and he had a guest who said this was the best exercise for abs. so doing that now as well. Only a few more weeks to some sunshine in the Red Sea, weather here is really naff and quite depressing but good for my very green grass.

Karate Kids progress with Slendertone Abs Belt- “By the time we go on holiday I should have that six pack”

Still using the Slendertone belt on a daily basis with the two suggested rest days, actually wearing this as I type which is a bit strange as it is quite a violent reaction as all of the muscles contract and relax in rhythm. I believe the toning belt is working as the stomach muscles do feel stronger and tighter. It was nice at the weekend to sit in the garden and enjoy the sun whilst the belt did a work out. I did find though there was a little bit of discomfort. I did think again that the pads were wearing out but it may have been due to some extra moisture on the skin whilst sitting in the sun. The battery lasted well again and only just  recharged it. By the time we go on holiday I should have that six pack and a bit of a tan to go with it if the weather holds out.

Karate Kid’s Slendertone System Abs Progress

A week has gone past already and 5 sessions completed on the Slendertone system-abs. The Slendertone system is easy to use and no problem allowing you to continue any normal chores or sit in front of the telly. I have noticed the contractions appear more intense whilst sitting down rather than standing.

I thought I may have overdone things too soon as I was unwell on Saturday with a light head and stomach pains but I now believe this was a 24-hour bug and not the machine. I started back on the programme so I only had the two rest days as planned. I haven’t noticed any real difference so far but have stepped up to programme 6 that gives a longer and different workout that I have so far found better and more comfortable. The battery lasted for 6 sessions before recharging was required. I am still trying to increase the intensity but haven’t ventured over 50 as yet as the contractions are very strong and causes a little back-ache. I am guessing here that if you already have stronger muscles that the contractions will be stronger and if you have weaker muscles the user will require a higher input to get the same results. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Not sure how long the Slendertone pads might last for as they are very sticky and I have to be careful when peeling them off my skin after a session.

No pain no gain, here’s to the six pack!

Stephen progress with Slendertone System Abs

Not much to update from my last post, I am now on week 7 and am liking the effects of the Slendertone belt. I am still a long way off where I want to be but I am heading in the right direction. One interesting update is that I have now changed the pads on the belt for the first time. Having done this when I first used the unit it proved to be a much simpler process and although the pads are very sticky on both sides I fitted them without problems.

With the start of the new cricket season I am hoping my increased strength in my stomach should improve my core stability and lead to less back pains when bowling.
