Stephen progress with Slendertone System Abs

Not much to update from my last post, I am now on week 7 and am liking the effects of the Slendertone belt. I am still a long way off where I want to be but I am heading in the right direction. One interesting update is that I have now changed the pads on the belt for the first time. Having done this when I first used the unit it proved to be a much simpler process and although the pads are very sticky on both sides I fitted them without problems.

With the start of the new cricket season I am hoping my increased strength in my stomach should improve my core stability and lead to less back pains when bowling.

Welcome Stephen, our brand new Slendertone System Abs Tester- Week One

My main motivation for using the Slendertone belt is getting ready for the summer. I consider myself to be a ‘slim’ person but am in search of a toned stomach. When I first heard of this piece of equipment I couldn’t see how I would benefit, I figured it was a way of losing weight, when I was told it is a ‘toning’ belt I became a lot more interested.

I am currently a very active person, I play football three times a week as well as various other sports but I would really like to get onto the beach this year with not only a flat stomach but a toned one too. Hopefully over the next few weeks I will begin to see the change I desire.

One of the biggest appeals is that I can fit Slendertone System Abs in with my busy lifestyle, I intend to use the toning belt when cooking an evening meal, tying the two activities together will guarantee I use the belt regularly. My next update will be following my first use of the belt, at this stage I am very excited about the potential and cant wait to get started!

Chris’ progress with Slendertone System Abs

Been using the Slendertone abs for 5 days now, had my first day off yesterday – Slendertone recommend that you use it no more that 5 times a week. I used it Tuesday at work, Wednesday at home, Thursday was a my rest day, Friday at work (I am actually using the belt while I am typing this), I will have a day off on Saturday (off to the Boat Show at ExCel) and probably do a session on Sunday after the gym.

So I started the week using programme number 7, but now have moved to programme 6, which is 30 mins rather than 40, but I have changed the intensity level from 17 up to a more powerful 40.

I have seen a slight improvement in my shape and generally size, I was 41 inches around my stomach at the start of the week, now I am only 39. I have done 2 sessions in the gym this week so far, both cardio sessions, but I will be hitting the gym tonight for a weights session and probably Sunday as well.

See you next week.

Vicki’s progress with Slendertone System Mini

Tonight will be the third night I’ve used it since the weekend and i plan on using it tomorrow and once more at the weekend.

I was a bit worried about using it tonight as my bottom felt quite bruised from using it last night. I think i put the intensity up too high rather than doing it gradually and it really feels like I’ve been to the gym doing a whole class of squats! The instruction leaflet tells you to gradually increase the intensity and the duration of the sessions but i used the stomach and bottom one together last night for two lots of 20 minutes.

The 1st set of 20mins i had my bum on 54 and my stomach on 54. For the second set of 20mins i put my bum up to 70 and my stomach on 68.
My ribs hurt from it today but at the time i found i got used to it really quickly and if you keep busy round the house you hardly notice it! I didn’t realise the session had finished until about 10mins later!

I love the stomach Slendertone. I think its really easy and comfy to wear and you can disguise it quite well if you want to. Eg: going for a jog you can ware it under a T shirt. However the bottom Slendertone looks very funny on and you definitely wouldn’t leave the house in it! If your going to play netball then fine! But i think if your brave enough to walk round the house with electrodes on your fatty bits anyway they could have come up with a design that rather than cover you up with a skirt make it easy to hide under trousers or shorts. When i took it out of the box for the first time i was surprised to see it was a skirt rather than cycling shorts!

Vicki tries the Slendertone System Mini to help tone her bottom

Vickie will be blogging her experiences with the System Mini over the next few weeks. Here’s a bit more information about Vickie and her motivations for using the System Mini.

So tell us a bit about yourself?

I am 22 years old and work in a local pharmacy despensing drugs. My diet is relatively healthy and I am quite an active person but feel I do not exercise regulalry enough. I enjoy socialising with my friends and enjoy a glass of red wine.

What is your home and work balance lifestyle like?

Home generally consists of watching the TV/DVD’s mid-week in the evenings, I hope this will be the best opportunity to wear the system mini. I take it in turns cooking dinner each night with my partner so I hope I can use the mini then too. Work is Monday to Friday, 9 till 5 so I doubt I can use the Slendertone during work hours. Weekends usually involve catching up with friends and out of the house. Sundays are usually my day of rest so the Slendertone may be used then too!

Do you have any fitness regime in place at the moment?
Not really. I attend a fitness class at my local leisure centre, it is a step areobics class and often very busy. I usually feel quite happy I have attended the class but after a busy day at work it can be hard to muster the energy. I sometimes go running with my partner, a gentle jog which is quite enjoyable. I try to either attend the fitness class once a week.

What are your key motivations for using system-mini?

After using the Slendertone System I was pleased with the results so I wanted to test the system-mini as it is one area of my body I find hard to tone. The system-mini looks and feels different to the rest of the Slendertone range, as a skirt I am eager to see how it works.

What would you like to get out of the system mini?
A firmer bottom. Some of the exercises at my fitness class focus on this area, I am keen to see the results by using a Slendertone System Mini without painful exercise routines.

Will you be exercising or eating more healthily over the eight week trial?
Yes. My diet is generally very healthy but I will be making an effort not to eat too many treats whilst on the eight week trial.

Do you have other areas you would like to tone?

No, not at the moment.

Do you have any other interesting facts about yourself?
Nothing too exciting I’m affraid. I use too run for my county when I was back at school, apart from that I would just like to look and keep fit.

Slendertoning and Exercising: The great benefits

I had some pleasing comments the other day at my birthday party, thanks to the Slendertone System Abs and aerobic exercise! Numerous friends who I had not seen in a while, mentioned I looked more toned and in good shape which was really nice to hear. I’m curvy and still have a long way to go but my waist is definitely smaller.

Sam has also seen a significant difference in his stomach shape and muscle tone. He’s been using it religiously and his stomach is rock hard…and it really is! So it’s probably worthwhile for those guys who want to get a fitter and flatter waist.

I’m on my holidays soon but I’ll be definitely be continuing with Slendertone and exercising, especially in time and in tip top shape for all those Christmas parties and a friends wedding. For me its not always about how you look, but its about how I feel and over the last couple of months, I’ve really seen a difference.

Most of us are surprisingly still at it with our Slendertone toning belt. Two of my friends are quite interested in trying the product as well since I started it, so they will be blogging soon. It looks like we are developing a club for all those Slendertone enthusiasts!

Have any of you tried the brand new Slendertone System Mini?

Slendertone have recently launched a brand new toning body belt to help shape your bottom in the form of a skirt! It’s been designed to keep your bottom uplifted for us woman who have those problem areas. Apparently it works and get you that pert bottom in just eight weeks!

How does it work?

The placement of pads integrated into the skirt design ensures the correct muscles are exercised to create the perfect shape . In a recent trial 81% of subjects agreed that their bottoms felt up-lifted and that their clothes felt looser. They created the skirt to allow you to work out, in comfort.

I’m thinking of trying it? I’m off in holiday in a couple of weeks but I may try it when I get back in time for my Christmas and New Year.

Have any of you tried or are trying out the Slendertone System Mini? It would be great to hear from you and get your views on it please?

Thanks!

Picture below is what the skirt looks like. I copied this from the Official Slendertone Website to give you an idea of what the skirt looks like.

Ashley disappointed he didn’t use the Slendertone belt more often, noticeable difference after running though!

Posted by Ashley
The 4 week trial is up and I am a bit disappointed that I didn’t get more use out of the belt in the last week and a half. A busy couple of weeks unfortunately dropped the belt to the bottom of the to do list, even at work I have forgotten to wear the belt whilst at the desk.

The most encouraging signs of toning improvement were seen after running, the morning after I usually ached more then usual. I think it makes sense to develop the belt around general exercise because the body is working harder and developing the muscles more. I found sitting at my desk with the toning belt on didn’t feel like it was doing as much compared to standing (or running) with the body in an upright position.

I haven’t developed a full on six pack but in the limited time I have used the belt my muscles have strengthen. If I religiously used the belt 4 times a day I am confident I would have seen better results. Also, with the football season & training starting again I have found it hard muster the enthusiasm. I think the belt would suit someone who does limited sports activity but keen to get fit and start doing more.

The Slendertone System is extremely easy and quick to set up each time – cannot fault the products design, functionality or help guides.

Rachael’s final thoughts on Slendertone System-Abs

Posted by Rachael

The slendertone belt was beneficial in the way that your abs felt toned after use, but I think you have to think of it as more of an accessory. I have used it in conjunction with my normal exercise routine and have felt overall more toned from it.

I think I will definitely continue to use the belt, but in addition to regular exercise as well.

I think the trial has just confirmed my original thoughts that if you want to lose weight and tone up, there is no quick fix. You have to combine diet with exercise and implement this with your lifestyle. Exercise needs to be fun, challenging and regularly reviewed and changed. I Think it is like anything in life, if you want outstanding results you have to be prepared to put the work in!

Thanks for including me in the trial, I found it very beneficial.

Matt’s Overall Thoughts Of Slendertone System Abs

Posted by Matt

Over this last week of the trial I have had the system-abs belt on a higher setting than usual. I set the intensity to around 70 (which is more than enough for me) using program setting 5, I have also been using it twice a day.

I’ve definitely noticed more of a difference, it’s a bit more uncomfortable in the higher settings which can make it hard to concentrate when your sitting at a desk, I have also noticed that in the evening my muscles still feel like they are tensing which has obviously got to be a good thing. I’m not sure if I can see much of a physical change but I really think to get the best out of this product it is a good idea to eat healthy and do plenty of exercise. I think it’s a good idea to use the product on the days when you feel too tired to do exercise, so at least your doing something. I will continue to use the product and report back if I find that I’m making more progress on a flatter stomach!

It has been a learning experience, gone are the days when toning belts felt like they were giving you an electric shock every 5 seconds and your body convulsed uncomfortably for 30 minutes! Slendertone seem to have overcome these problems and made it a comfortable experience and something that we can use in our everyday lives.
